Frequently Asked Questions

Whether you're organising a barn dance, or attending one, you probably have some questions. We've tried to answer some of the common questions we get asked below, but if you can't find the answer here then send us an email and we'd be happy to help.

What area do you cover?

We are based in South Staffordshire and typically cover the surrounding area, get in contact with us to let us know where you are and we'll see what we can do.

What venues are suitable?

Town or village halls are usually ideal. There must be sufficient space for everyone to dance, and space for them all to sit down when they're finished! We also need a power supply to plug in our equipment. If you're not sure whether your venue will be suitable, or are still looking for one, then get in contact with us and we'll see if we can help.

Do I need to know how to dance?

No, absolutely not! We specialise in audiences who have little or no experience. All our dances are "called", which means that before we start playing the music for a dance we'll guide you through everything you have to do, and we'll continue calling throughout the dance as the music plays until you've got it. No fancy footwork is necessary either, it's more about just trying to be in the right place at the right time and having fun with your fellow dancers. Mistakes are inevitable, and in fact they make the whole thing even more enjoyable! All we ask is you get up and give it a go.

Can we use your logo on our publicity?

Yes, we’d be delighted if you did. You can download various versions from our Facebook page.

Are you insured?

Yes, we have Public Liability Insurance with a limit of liability of £5,000,000. We can provide a copy of our Certificate of Insurance on request.

Is your equipment tested?

Yes, all of our electrical equipment undergoes Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) annually. We can provide a copy of our PAT certificate on request.
